Design
- User and competition research, design sprints, product roadmap
- Conduct user interviews to identify problems, generate new ideas and possible solutions, and build the product roadmap with PMs
- Refine requirements basis user research, and customer requests to write the product roadmap for both existing and future customers
- Work with PMs to ideate on user experiences, design wireframes and prototypes based on user stories and PRDs
- Work with PMs to validate new flows and design ideas with users
- Competition research
- Study competition, deconstruct their features and user experiences
- Stay on top of trends and new areas of competitive/ adjacent products
- Ideate with PM and PMMs to refine positioning w.r.t competition
- Development cycle
- Deliver final designs for feature development as per the sprint cycles
- Work with engineers to explain designs and fix design bottlenecks
- Work with engineers to create a thorough UI test plan for new features and adjacent areas that would be affected
- Release and feedback
- Do UI reviews and suggest changes before release
- Help PMs with release notes, videos, and screenshots for internal communication
- Conduct design spotlight sessions to educate team members about new tools and techniques, and processes
- Work with PMs and customer-facing teams to highlght benefits to existing and potential customers, and create feedback mechanism
- Create a plan for feature improvements and help with product roadmap
- Strategy, roadmap, user research
- Be the owner of all design that interfaces an average user of the product, not limited to applications, but extending to website, and other off-site presence of the brand
- Find new areas of improvement in product experiences, user journey, brand narrative based on customer interactions, and observing trends in the domain
- Work with partners and experts outside the team to setup best practices
- Work with PMs to define broad feature areas for long term roadmap
- Work with marketing team to define the brand narrative, and product positioning
- Define the user experience flow for large feature groups and work with PMs and designers to identify areas of improving user journeys
- Conduct design sprints and workshops within the company to educate internal team members about new trends, and interal design processes

- Work with engineering team to identify opportunities for improving development process and coordination between teams
- Release and feedback
- Own the design review process before roll-out of complex and interconnected product features
- Work with PMs to spot patterns of poor or excellent usability from metrics
- Interact regularly with customers to understand how our products can be improved
